“The Stage”
From my poet’s side came a worthy essay poem this morning which I thought would be a good inclusion as a blog, even if it is rather short. HJH
…Fades…

…the stage…
…you come upon this stage freshly
to engage with others, a meshing
to find yourself at odds
with those in other bod’s
who in their choice of play
want more of contentious fray
than to engage in cooperative play
War the outcome
blood spilled, homes gone to a single straw
this was not expected, but this is what you saw
and here you are, you wanted peace
a place to grow green plant with leaf
to add in will with stew of beef
Yet contention was ever there
nothing equitable, nothing fair
and a happy point is that there are others here
who, like you, want more than blood and gore
scenes of destruction all should abhor
when this world provides
challenges wide and high
enough to test all courage by
action in the doing, do or die
to keep even those desiring chaos
filled to the brim with destruction’s lot
them needing nary a plot
to bring about games of interest…

I’m not a poet, but my background is fine art, which I haven’t done in years. Your poetry is gorgeous.

Good little essay! Have you ever seen the movie “Big Fish?” I think you would enjoy it a whole lot. It is one of my favorite movies. It’s a fantastic film Tim Burton directed it. Albert Finney is in it Ewen McGregor and some others, it’s all about what you were writing about and more. It’s wonderful.

my response:
Hey Judy. No, I have not been to a movie in nearly 8 years. Lazy I guess.
